SOGLOWEK - A YEKKE HARIGATE

In the bitter cold of a winter night in the late 1930s, Iremgard and Reinhold Soglowek fled Nazi Germany and arrived, under the cover of darkness, on the shores of what would soon become the State of Israel.

They settled in the small coastal town of Nahariya and, armed with nothing but courage and relentless determination, built what would become one of Israel’s most respected food empires. Through four major wars, decades of hard work, and a legacy of constant innovation, the Soglowek name evolved into a national symbol—synonymous with quality, excellence, and prestige in every Israeli home.

This is the extraordinary story of the Soglowek family. Written, produced, directed, and edited by Uri Soglowek, “The Sogloweks – A Yekke Harigate” was broadcast on Israel’s Channel 8 and later featured in the German Heritage Museum in Israel.
